Fig & Walnut bites

These bites are high in fibre which will keep you satisfied for longer as well as feeding your good bacteria in your gut. As well as that the flaxseed provides ALA which is converted in the body to Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients that contribute to the optimal functioning of your heart, eyes and nervous system. Plant-based sources include flax, hemp seeds and algae.

Ingredients
🔺450g of dried figs
🔺125g of walnut halves
🔺40g ground flaxseeds
🔺1 tbsp of vanilla extract
🔺1/2 tsp of salt

Pulse all ingredients in a food processor for about 4 minutes until the mix is finely chopped and almost a sand consistency. Scoop out the mixture with a tablespoon and, using wet hands shape into balls. Chill 15 minutes to firm up.

So simple and so delicious!
